Landowners urge Govt to implement Kynshi project:WKH Round-up
Jun 13th, 2009 | By khmonish | Category: Meghalaya | Email |NONGSTOIN, June 12, 2009 : Landowners under the banner of Synjuk Ki Trai Khyndew Warsanlyngdoh Sangriang Mawpon Area, West Khasi Hills have urged the Government to implement the 400 MW Kynshi Hydel Power Project (Stage-I) for the benefit of the people of the area while also demanding due share and recognition from the concerned companies and the Government in this connection.
They also stated that a company which is assigned to implement the project will not be allowed to operate if the landowners demands are neglected. Representatives of the association are also expected to meet Chief Minister DD Lapang later to apprise him of their decision in this regard.
